Description
Proviron is composed of mesterolone dosed at 25mg per tablet. It is not an anabolic but a very powerful anti-estrogen. Prevents gynecomastia, while decreasing water and fat retention, it allows the revival of testosterone production in the testicles, prevents the aromatization of anabolics.
Proviron acts as an anti-aromatic: it prevents the aromatization (transformation) of anabolic steroids into estrogen. It thus avoids gynecomastia and can be combined with Nolvadex to increase its effectiveness. It should indeed be specified that Proviron and Nolvadex are two anti-oestrogens whose mechanisms of action are different and complementary, and it is for this reason that the association of these two products is so effective: while Proviron prevents the aromatizing anabolic, Nolvadex clogs estrogen receptor cells, preventing it from working. It is therefore a formidable tandem.
Proviron is also not only an excellent anti-estrogen : By maintaining a low level of estrogen, Proviron also decreases water retention. It thus gives the user the skinned look sought after by so many bodybuilders, especially when preparing for competitions.
It should be noted that Proviron tends to limit muscle gains from a steroid cycle, because it attaches to androgen receptor cells instead of other steroids present in the body, which then remain blocked outside. and therefore without effect. This is why many bodybuilders take a minimal dose of Proviron, just to avoid gynecomastia.
As for mesterolone side effects, they are rare below 100mg per day. Indeed the tablets of Proviron are not alpha-alkylated 17 and do not present any harmfulness for the liver. On the other hand, if one begins to exceed 75 to 100 mg per day, one frequently sees appearing phenomena such as priapism (is a painful situation in which the penis after erection does not regain its normal flaccidity) in male or female virilization.
